A&A Truckee Tahoe

Bidder Step by Step- Important Information                                                                 Hours M-F/7-4 PST
Beware!!!  A&A is not responsible for vehicle information found on Copart's website
You should not Bid on any vehicle without an inspection first!!!!!
This is very important advice. Remember "AS IS, WHERE IS".  Inspect it yourself  or find an inspector
on Coparts website under the "Services" on the menu bar.

1.  Read, study and print this page.  Also you will be agreeing to the "Terms and Conditons. Read that also.
You should then be ready to register. You can start registration by first clicking on  "
Registration Page" button
under the "Register" drop down menu.

2.  A&A offers two different  registration options, based on your needs.

(1)
One Week- No Registration Fee Option
The deposit is the standard refundable $400 security deposit. The payment must be made in person as a
cash deposit at your local Bank of America or wire transfer from your own bank. You cannot use a credit or
debit card under this one week no reg fee option. The bank account deposit information is listed on A&A's home
web page by clicking the "Links" button in the upper tool bar.  If no vehicle is purchased or your registration expires
or you decide to opt out, your deposit will be refunded by company check, which will be mailed by regular USPS mail
and you should receive it in 7-10 days-- unless you decide to pay one of the registration fees and continue on as an active
member.

(2)
Standard Registration- The standard registration program requires either $50 one month or a
$150 one year nonrefundable registration fee along with the standard refundable $400 security deposit. These fees
and deposit may be paid online with either a credit or debit card.  You may also increase your deposit/bid limit
with a credit or debit card up to an additional $600, for a total of $1000.  Higher increases will require a  Bank of America
cash deposit  or wire transfer from your bank,  Don't wait until the last minute to increase your bid limit.  Always
contact us when making deposits.

The only way you can lose your deposit is to win a vehicle and not pay for it.
Copart charges everyone for these relist fees. The fee is the greater of  minimum $400, or 10% of the bid.

Your refundable deposit also represents 10% of your maximum bid limit and covers A&A for potential relist payments.
The initial $400 deposit  gives you a maximum
one (1) vehicle and $4000 bid limit. You may increase your bid limit by
($100 increments)  with a debit or credit card up to $600 by clicking on the "Pay Now" button on A&A's home web page.
You may also increase your bid limit by cash deposit or wire transfer. Click on the "Deposit & Fees" button under the
"Knowledge" menu bar for bank account information. Subsequent increases in security deposit above $600 and
all vehicle
payments may only be paid by wire transfer, Bank of America cash deposit, or Express Invoicing.
Always contact us after
you have made your deposit.

Do not wait until the last minute to increase your security deposit/max bid limit as we not always able
to do this increase immediately.

All vehicle purchases are AS IS WHERE IS.  You may have your deposit refunded  at any time if you do not have
any current active bids or fees  due. Send us an email requesting your deposit refund.

3.  After completing the registration, you will receive two emails-  Bidder Number and Password.
Then go to Copart's home page at  http://www.copart.com/c2/home.html to sign in.  Remember, if you have
signed up with Coparts bidder number and password, close and reopen your browser before signing
in with A&A's new bidder number and password.

4.  Under "
Member Login" click "Member".  Fill in your "User Name"( your bidder #) and your password .
Then you will be asked to fill in your email and to confirm your email.  You are now registered and can bid.
You may only bid on one vehicle at a time with the initial $400 deposit. To bid on multiple vehicles
at the same time,
you must have a minimum $400 deposit covering each vehicle. Example- For a two vehicle limit count,
you must have a minimum $800 deposit, for three vehicles a $1200 deposit......etc. Deposit increases cannot
be guaranteed the same day, so set your limits early.

5.  You may visit the yards for $25 cash the day before, or morning of the auction. It's probably a good idea to
join Coparts' Basic program, as you can then get into the yards for free. Do not mix up Copart's bidder number
with A&A's bidder number. Bring your bidder number and password , your drivers license, and the lot numbers
of the cars you wish to look at.  If the car is listed as "Run and Drive", you can ask to have a yard attendant bring
out the keys and start the car.

Run and Drive Verification (Very Important)
At the time the vehicle arrived at Copart’s facility, Copart
verified that the vehicle (i) started, (ii) could be put into gear, and (iii) was capable of moving
forward under its own power. There is
no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the
vehicle is in roadworthy condition or can be driven lawfully upon the highways of any state.
There is
no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle will (i) start, (ii) drive, or
(iii) move forward under its own power
at the time the vehicle is picked up at Copart’s
facility.
It is the Buyer’s sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect, and/or
investigate the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Once the vehicle is removed from Copart’s
premises, the Buyer accepts the vehicle "as is". There is no guarantee the vehicle will pass Smog
or Brake and Lamp inspections.
For these reasons it is highly recommended that you personally inspect the vehicle at the yard or hire an appraiser to inspect it
for you. This helps lower your risks. The appraiser links can be found on both the buyer account page and the individual vehicle
page. Since the vehicles can not be driven prior to purchase or pick up, there may also be problems not found with an
inspection.  Also, on the vehicle page please be advised that Copart may show
"Keys: Yes". Copart will not guarantee the keys
at the time the vehicle is picked up.  Remember- Do your homework to lower your risks. You may not drive the vehicles out of
Copart's yard. NO vehicle regardless of driving condition or title status should be driven prior to state inspection
and/or registration. All vehicles should be towed out of Copart's yards.

6.  There are two ways  to bid.  You can do a Preliminary early (pre-auction) bid and enter ONE maximum bid
amount that you are willing to pay for the car,  although you may win the car for less (like ebay incremental
bidding). The computer will bid for you during the live auction.  Remember, this Preliminary bid will tie up your
money as long as you are the high bidder. If you are outbid during the Preliminary bidding period, then your
money is released from the bid.

Preliminary bids may be placed up to 11am (local auction) time the day of the auction.  The live virtual auction
vehicle bids begin with the 11am preliminary closing (high) bid. To place a Preliminary bid, click on the
"Enter a Bid" box on the  vehicle description page (the page that has the vehicle info and pictures).
There are no charges if you lose a bid. We do not allow bidding in Ohio, Michigan, Alabama, or Washington state. We do not
allow bidding on junk or non-rebuildable titles.  Salvage and Clean titles are ok.  California bidders may not part out vehicles
and must get inspections and register vehicles. Non California bidders may bid to part out vehicles and require no inspections,
and no California DMV fees or sales tax.

The second way to  bid is on the Live Virtual Auction which start at 12 pm (local auction) time once a week.  You
should first try out getting on the virtual live auctions to make sure your computer works and you understand how to bid.
For instructions, watch the "
Copart  Bidding" video from  A&A's home page.

Three important steps before you go on the live auction--- (item #'s issue about 3 days before auction)
1. Find the
item (run) number of the vehicle (not the lot #). This is next to the "Sale Date" on vehicle info page.
2. Find the vehicle's lane. Item #1-2000= Lane A, #2001-3000= Lane B, etc. See "Copart Lanes" on A&A's home page.
3. Click on "Sales Lists" at the very top of your member's home page. Click on the vehicles auction/date list. Now figure
out about how many vehicles are running before you in that particular lane. The virtual live auction runs roughly
60 vehicles an hour. Now you know where and when your vehicle is coming up. Click on VB2 on your member home
page to go to the live virtual auctions. During the auction you left click on the top number to bid.
If the numbers gray-out, it's because the vehicle went over your max bid limit or vehicle count ($400 deposit/vehicle).
The numbers may also gray-out if the vehicle has a junk or non-rebuildable title (not allowed) or is in Ohio, Michigan,
or Alabama.
Fees and storage times differ with these two types of bids (see below).  Winning preliminary bidders have two free
storage days to pick up the vehicle, and winning live virtual auction bidders  have five free storage days  to pick up the vehicle.
After that a $20 per day storage fee is charged.

7.  After you
win a vehicle you will be sent an email with an attached invoice and wire information .  You may also
go into a Bank of America branch office and do a deposit transfer with cash.   A&A and Copart fees are added to
winning bid amount.  A&A's  fee is a $225 flat fee per vehicle.
Copart's bidder fee is variable based on the cost of the vehicle. You can estimate these fees on  A&A's website home
page from the "Vehicle Cost Calculator" button or the exact fees in the "Terms and Conditions" page. If the vehicle
was on "Minimum Bid" or "On Approval", the Seller has UP TO
3 (Three) BUSINESS DAYS to accept/reject  your bid
or to negotiate with you (counter bidding) on a mutually agreeable price.
You have two business days to have the wire/ cash deposit transfer funds in A&A's account .

8.  After your funds are deposited into A&A's account, you will be emailed a Copart Paid Invoice. You can then go
pick up the car, or give the paid invoice to your transporter to pick up the car.

9.
Non Resident California Bidders- After payment is received, you will be sent the title
(after we receive it from Copart) and a bill of sale. Copart gives itself up to 30 days to deliver
the title. Normally it takes 7-10 days.

10.
Resident California Bidders-  If the vehicle has a clean title (title type shown on vehicle page),
you will need to get a smog inspection and fax or email a copy to A&A.  If the vehicle has a salvage title, you will
need to get a smog AND a brake and lamp inspection and fax or email them to A&A. You will then be sent the title
and paper work on the vehicle so you can go to DMV .  You will have 10 days to register the vehicle without
DMV penalty from the date the title is sent.  We have One Trip permits for $24 that you can pay for when you
pay for your vehicle from A&A's invoice. (See "CA Trip Permits Info" on A&A's home page) Copart gives itself up to
30 days to deliver the title. Normally it takes 7-10 days.

11. Deposit refunds must be requested by email with included bidder number. Refunds will be sent by company
check USPS regular mail within 48 hours of request.
More information may be found on the
"Terms and Conditions" page that  you will have to agree to before
completing your registration.
Always include your bidder number when contacting A&A.
