After you submit registration information and pay the fees, you will receive two emails. One will have your bidder number and the second one will have your password. Bidding Overview "Virtual Bidding" – Buyers may log onto Copart's website at http://copart.com during a VB2 Virtual Sale to submit bids electronically, in real time over the Internet, to compete with the highest Preliminary Bid, and other Virtual Bids. "Internet Preliminary Bidding" – During the Preliminary Bidding Period, Buyers may log onto Copart's website at http://copart. com and submit bids electronically. Internet and Kiosk Preliminary Bids compete as described above. The highest Preliminary Bid, either Kiosk or Internet, received by Copart will compete against Virtual Bids via "BID4U" during the Virtual Sale. "Kiosk Preliminary Bidding" – Commencing two business days prior to a scheduled sale, up until 11:00 a.m. (local time of the Copart facility where the vehicle is stored) the day of the sale ("Preliminary Bidding Period"), Buyers may submit Kiosk Preliminary Bids through computer terminals located at kiosks installed in the lobbies of Copart facilities. Kiosk Preliminary Bids compete against Internet Preliminary Bids during the Preliminary Bidding Period. One hour after the close of the Preliminary Bidding Period, the Virtual Sale begins. The highest Preliminary Bid (either Kiosk or Internet) at the close of the Preliminary Bidding Period competes against Virtual Bids via "BID4U" . What happens if my preliminary bid ties with a virtual auction buyer for the same vehicle? If your preliminary bid ties with a virtual bidder for a particular vehicle, then the award goes to the virtual bidder. To prevent a tie, the preliminary bidder should answer "Yes" to the Bid Increment question. When the Bid Increment option is used, BID4U will increase the preliminary bid by one and only one increment, therefore breaking the tie. What is Bid Increment? When the Bid Increment option is used, BID4U will increase the preliminary maximum bid by one and only one additional increment if the maximum bid is tied, therefore breaking the tie. When the Bid Increment option is not used, if the preliminary maximum bid is tied with a virtual bid, the virtual bidder will be awarded the vehicle. What is BID4U? BID4U is used to make the bidding process easier and more efficient. BID4U represents the highest preliminary bidder during the virtual auction. Simply enter the maximum price you are willing to pay for the lot during preliminary bidding and BID4U will bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid during the virtual auction. BID4U will only bid one increment over the current bid to maintain your position as the highest bidder. This allows you to purchase a vehicle below your maximum bid if bidding doesn’t meet or exceed your maximum bid. If the Bid Increment option is selected, BID4U will only bid one additional increment over your maximum bid to break a tie. If a bidder with a higher maximum out-bids you, you will be notified via email. As a security precaution no one including Copart associates can see your maximum bid. It is 100% confidential! Can I change a submitted bid? No. You cannot lower or delete a bid once it has been entered. You may submit a higher bid only. Can I delete a submitted bid?
