Increasing Bid Limit-- Before you can increase your bid limit, you must have signed into Copart with A&A's bidder number and password that you received by email. The default, starting/initial sign-in bid limit is $4000. ($400 deposit) You must increase your refundable deposit to increase your maximum bid limit. Remember the deposit represents 10% of your maximum bid limit. To bid on or be high bidder on multiple vehicles at the same time, you must have a $400 deposit for each vehicle. That is called your vehicle count. A vehicle count of 2 would require a minimum $800 deposit . You cannot use more than your total available amount of money at any time. Say you have a bid limit of 2/$8000 and have a high preliminary bid OR a unpaid winning bid tieing up $3000. You can still bid on one vehicle up to $5000. The payment options are a little different for the two types of programs. For the one week trial program, you cannot use a credit card to register or increase your bid limit. You must make a cash deposit or wire transfer. You can make an initial cash deposit or wire transfer of greater than $400 for a higher bid limit. Then you won't have to go back to the bank twice. Remember, after you log into to Copart, you must call or email us Start and click above for full screen↑ and request the increase to your bid limit. This is not done automatically. We will send a confirmation email to you when your limit is successfully raised. The bank account and wire information can be found below or under "Knowledge/Deposit and Fees". For the one month and six month programs you may use a credit card to register and increase your deposit and bid limit. Maximum deposit credit card useage is $1,000. You may go higher, but not with a credit card. You may do almost everything online and on your computer. Once you have logged into Copart you can increase your bid limit. With your credit or debit card you may add up to a maximum of $600 in $100 increments to your initial $400 deposit. This would give you a total of $1000 deposit and a $10,000 maximum bid limit. You would also have a vehicle count of two. To do this go click on the "Pay Now" button below or under "Knowledge"/ "Deposit & Fees". Fill out the information, insert your amount, and include your bidder number. We should be notified of the payment from our merchant account within a few minutes and will send you a confirmation email when your limit is increased. Maximum deposit credit card useage is $1,000. If you need a bid limit over $10,000 (over $1000 deposit), you must do a cash deposit at Bank of America or a wire transfer from your own bank. The account information is below and also under "Knowledge"/ "Deposit and Fees". Again, call or email us after you make the deposit so we can raise your bid limit. This sounds like a long process, but should only take a few minutes. Do not wait until the last minute to increase your bid limit.
